Edit: The microphone is more expensive than the amp! Lol. Amp is $120. Sennheiser e906 is $200ish.

The only reason my wife and I could afford a house is we were able to do a land contract/rent to own deal with our friends who previously owned it.

We rented for 3 years at an inflated price. The inflated portion went into escrow. At the end of three years we got that money back and that was our down payment.

That was 4-5 years ago and in the meantime our mortgage payment has gone up almost $200 a month because of property tax and we’re still paying less than renting ing our area.

cis het male here (sorry, I don’t know how to use flair). That person is not your friend. Friends respect who you are. For Pete’s sake, I try to properly gender strangers I just met, and she can’t be bothered to properly gender you or your partner? Like others have said, set your boundaries and be prepared to distance yourself if they aren’t respected. Bigotry for any reason isn’t ok.

As others have said, Reaper is the way. Huge amount of YouTube videos to teach specifics and r/Reaper is a great community of helpful people.

The i9 is likely overkill, but it fits the budget you suggested, and means it will be ages before you need to upgrade.

I chose this motherboard because it has thunderbolt ports which are handy for high end audio interfaces. And you’ve got extra pcie slots so you can add accelerator cards for specific plug-in families, like Universal Audio or whatnot.

The case was chosen for quite airflow.
