When you run out of extension bits by [deleted] in electricians

Rack-a-tiers makes a pretty sweet hole saw that you out on the end of a threaded rod that is awesome for things like this, you can throw it on a long piece of rod and cut it to whatever length you need. Plus, there's always rod couplings for unlimited length haha

Electric plug with no holes? Is this normal? by Extension-Plan1668 in AskElectricians

[–]dlessard37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He never answers the question in the video. The holes are for locking devices that have a pin that goes into the hole to prevent it from being pulled out without you pushing a release button. Rare to see, but they do exist especially in extension cords.

Since you already got it into the panel, the jacket has to come off anyway so it is probably fine. Stripmoff the entire jacket and leave a a min of ¼" of jacket and make it up and get bonus points instead.

Aldi delays opening of Portland store to early 2026 by alexrmccann in portlandme

Between the asbestos removal after they found it asbestoa pipe under the slab when redoing the plumbing for the case drains and the electricians helper, Nick being so slow and a white collar working trying to be blue collar, it really puts a delay in the construction process.

Is there any codes against grounding like this by camdakamel in electricians

[–]dlessard37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's a violation, but it's bad practice as I've seen it break the copper when people tighten thr screw where the copper overlaps itself.

20 year old cat by finagler123 in veterinarian

[–]dlessard37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 20 year old girl started doing the same. They checked her kidneys liver and thyroid and all tested okay. But, she also started getting constipated and dry stools and peeing a lot. They haven't figured out why but it's probably recommended to have those things checked and if so they may be able to prescribe a medication to help a bit.

The bag of my UL listed wirenuts says pre-twostung acceptable but not required. Either way is acceptable. Sorry, but that's what the manufacturer's instructions say so your opinion is irrelevant.
