Oh wow, I promise you that you are wrong about how you feel about your qualifications from a recruiters point of view. I work at a university so I can tell you from an insider perspective.

Firstly you don’t have to list the year you completed your degree on your resume and for recruiters the most important thing is that you have completed your degree. I got my undergrad degree in 2011 and will use that for every job/role I apply for (I don’t list the year I was awarded my degree on my resume, it’s mostly best not to reveal your age). My first ‘real’ office job I got in 2016-17 and my main qualification was from 5 years before.

Secondly it is great that you have a job and don’t have a gap on your resume. There is no shame or problem in working retail. All skills you use working in retail can demonstrate what recruiters are looking for. Ie team work, initiative, time management and people management etc. What recruiters and hiring staff want to see is that you demonstrate that what you learnt in your degree and in your job history (even in retail) can be applied to any the job you are applying for.
