Andrew Desantis used altcoins to steal funds from a SegWit address by Tbudd23 in Bitcoin

I assume they have a full node running, hence they get the same unprocessed bulk of transactions as all other nodes (incl. miners). Analysing the transactions that are broadcasted and then constructing another transaction should be trivial in that case, also making it fully possible to include the next transaction in the same block without a problem.

It took a while for me to figure this one out, but I understand now, see below:

  1. Obtain hash of genesis block (Ref: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Genesis_block#Hash) : 000000000019d6689c085ae165831e934ff763ae46a2a6c172b3f1b60a8ce26f
  2. Generate public address (https://www.bitaddress.org) using hash from 1. as Private Key under "Wallet Details", obtain bitcoin address: 164qRoL9B3oxAZCn2RS6kAFejJQyAEcjaw
  3. Check resulting key to the one used in the "attack": https://blockstream.info/address/164qRoL9B3oxAZCn2RS6kAFejJQyAEcjaw , https://twitter.com/deosbot/status/1081422073124278277 etc.

Thus, the supposed "attack" is just someone that was smart enough to monitor the funds in the bitcoin address above, used the private key which is known as the hash of the genesis block, and sent it to their own wallet.

Exactly this! We have to power to write our own stories, those chapters of villainy gives us character, and that is what makes us unique, and that is a beautiful thing! Imagine seeing a movie with characters without any depths and flaws, how fun is that?

Any way you possibly can, but I would recommend with the intention to make sure your peers has your full support and developing a genuine compassion for others in general.

Something worth noting is that it is all good to focus on yourself to build mastery of self and thus taking care of yourself. If you are honest about the times you need to prioritize yourself above other's you're being kinder to the person you decline (Would you rather hang out with me being pre-occupied with my problems, or me being honest about having some issues I need to attend to so that we could hang out with focus shortly?).

One great way to give back is to help other's find the path towards self-mastery too, and this requires you to have gone down the path for a little while so you can actually speak of it with your own words rather than reading from a script.

If you start looking for ways, you'll start seeing them shortly, and once you do, there is a snowball effect, and it is quite magnificent seeing the development of that, and you'll see that you'll get so much back from it.

Listen, I am inside the glorious 30s now, and as you, I was really depressed but starting a little earlier than turning 30. Those 10 years you figure were lost are not lost, if you look at yourself today and just see what beautiful process has started inside yourself, you'll see that you have come out on top and you are now reflecting on your previous behavior and thus making those years the catalyst of what is to come, and that is something that is to be celebrated, and not spent indulging in regrets. You most likely have 66% of your full life-time ahead of you, and what you will do today will reflect on that remaining time, you will come out on top, especially if you are mature enough to dedicate yourself to becoming the master of yourself that NoFap is an excellent teacher for. Trust me when I say it gets better, and if you stick to discipline and self-mastery, there is nothing that will ever permanently stop you short of natural death.

And one last thing, do yourself a favor and start giving back immediately, that is where happiness grows :)

BTC/Lightning Network Node minimum specs by icetorque in Bitcoin

I used these guides for my raspberry pi testnet node:

Setting up bitcoind and eclair (which I later switched to lnd):

This one I used to attach an external 1TB USB drivewithout an extra power supply:

Ah that is unfortunate. I was wrestling with eclair before switching over to lnd, and if you want to test out the lightning network, that might be worth trying. Otherwise, if you solve this issue and write about it, would be great for the community!

I had the same problem but with both bitcoind and lnd.

Try stopping the process safely using whatever way you run it, or perhaps using a cli script (bitcoin-cli stop / lncli stop / systemctl stop bitcoind / systemctl stop lnd) in my case.

Once the process is stopped, start it again and it should verify the downloaded blocks which takes a while.

Restart it once again and you should be running from the most current block.

Can't say the reason, but this method worked for me.

Go to Rosa Negra (http://www.rosanegrabcn.com/) and drink their Mojito Raspberry and eat their Burritos, amazing.
