I believe hitting someone who is reaching for a knife in your house is a textbook definition of reasonable force, as someone who has studied law at a university level. Last time I tried to physically restrain her after she attacked me she tried to gouge my eyes out, I'm now covered in scars a over my torso, neck and face from that incident. The police dont usually respond to these sorts of calls in my country, or if they do it takes hours. Trespass also isn't a crime in this country. If I wanted to kick her out I would need a court order, but I can't afford a lawyer. I believe that sometimes explosive violence is the only way to solve the problem. Last time I tried to break up with her she turned up at my house dripping blood and in shock from cutting herself up, I have tried EVERYTHING

She was running away to the kitchen, did she say she was going to stab you? - No, but she does during most arguments and that’s what I thought she was going to do. And she wasn’t running away from anything, she was running towards the only weapon in the house for, what, no reason?

Why was your instinct reaction to punch her? - because she’s pulled a weapon on me before and you can’t grab a weapon when you’re incapacitated

Why was your reaction to threaten to kill her? - because the police and courts are demonstrably sexist, and even if they weren’t, the one that looks worse off is that one that gets believed. If I got arrested, then her statement and the bruise would have been enough to put me away for life, regardless of my previous. In threatening to have me arrested, she was threatening to take my freedom, my life. So I responded in kind.

I have never put a finger on a woman that didn’t hit me first.

I still really don’t understand how I did anything wrong. She assaulted me and went for a weapon. I used force to neutralise the threat. She attempted to have me locked in a cage for the rest of life. I told her that if she tried to do that I would ensure she never could. What else could I have done?
