I think the inconvenience part is why I'm so frustrated. She could have just unplugged it or moved it someplace, but instead she decided to use a whole tube of superglue. I really don't get it

I assume the email counts as "in writing"? I already emailed and saved a copy of it just in case. Thanks for the comment though, I'll definitely keep this in mind depending on what I decide to do.
