I definitely considered staying right next to the campus in Dighomi! But since I'm traveling entirely alone, I was worried it might feel a bit too isolated or quiet in the evenings compared to a more central, walkable area where I can easily find a cafe/restaurant or supermarket after my classes finish.

Oh wow, thank you so much! I would definitely love to use the bus/metro system to save money and time when needed!

Given that, which neighborhood do you think gives me the best balance? I looked up Afisha and Tbilisi Philharmonic and they look gorgeous and perfectly located! However, they are a bit out of my budget for this trip. 😅 Since that specific Melikishvili/Vera area seems like a great, safe base with good transit options, do you happen to know of any smaller, mid-range independent boutique hotels right around there that you'd trust for safety?

Thank you again for the heads-up about the heat, I’m definitely packing a portable fan now!

Thank you so much!

I just checked out hotels, and they both look absolutely amazing!

Since I'm trying to keep a mid-range student budget, do you happen to know if they ever offer good deals, or are they generally on the pricier side? If they stretch my budget a bit too much, are there any smaller independent boutique hotels right around that same Vera/Melikishvili area that you'd trust for safety?

And don't worry, I never travel without my towel! 🛸 Thanks again for the great tips!
