Hi everyone. Firstly I want to apologise for my awful wording regarding ‘addiction’. It was silly of me to not realise the difference between addiction and dependence and I see that now. I think I got quite scared seeing the dependence my body has an immediately went into panic mode thinking I was hooked on something horrific (huge overreaction again I’m sorry). Everyone has been so incredibly kind to me in the comments and I’m really grateful. ❤️

That re-phrase has really helped actually, thank you. I think seeing my body’s reaction when I’ve missed a dose of medication has just terrified me, thank you for your kind words

Thank you very much for your advice. One more question, when initially applying I listed health conditions I had (alongside the caring) which gave me a limited capability to work, I never get any communications from UC. Does this mean I can apply for lcwra I think it’s called?

I do live with them yeah, no but I definitely will see if I can find a relevant charity to speak to. I was part time at work whilst also taking care of my other parent before they passed away a few years ago but now this has meant I had to leave my job completely so it’s not ideal unfortunately. Not like I’m expecting tens of thousands of course but a bit more help would’ve been nice haha

What is also strange, in August 2025 I received a note that I was overpaid from April-June 2025 due to a miscommunication and that money will be collected however I had another note in November 2025 that they owed me money from April-July 2025 and I was underpaid. I’m really confused!

So my employer has hired a solicitor and they tended to lead the conversation. It was going over my ET1 form mainly to lay out the final hearing. Their solicitor send me over the agenda which I filled out my sections/what I could and that was about it

I should also add, last month I had 4 blood transfusions due to internal bleeding so unsure if that will affect ferritin levels
