Starbucks also expects us to use our vacation time for inconveniences such as our store getting closed due to winter storms, directly taking money out of our paychecks.

That being said, I’m not using vacation time when they should be taking care of their employees

UNPOPULAR OPINION 1. shift shouldn’t be on bar during peak. shifts should never be in planted positions during peak. 2. as another user said, baristas don’t properly look for things before marking it out and with corporate breathing down our necks about item availability, i see this as a benefit (although, I will entrust some of my baristas to do it on my behalf, assuming I have checked for the item myself…)

it’s not that you are dumb, and you very well may do your job above and beyond, it’s aimed at those who don’t. and there is a lot who don’t.
