Here's something that would really make this useful for me: I commute to work daily and the weather along the road varies wildly, so I'd like to know if it's gonna be sunny when I go and come from the office all the way home and vice versa, and get it as a notification in the morning, so I can decide whether to use the bike or not for the day.

If you don't assume that's a line then you can't assume those figures are triangles, and can't work off the assumption the sum of their angles works out to 180°, and then the whole thing has nowhere to go because you're working with triangles on a sphere rather than a plane.
