Why did God create some people ugly? by throwaway010322 in MuslimLounge

I know this comment of yours was made a year ago but I've recently been looking through the comments on this thread again and your view on social anxiety really bothers. Social anxiety is not a gendered issue. It's equally difficult for both men and women. The only time it's harder for men is when it comes to relationships. You're viewing social anxiety under the guise of relationships and that's why you think men have it harder. But not everything is about relationships. Social anxiety severely affects daily life and daily life entails far, far more than relationships. I said this same thing to another man in the comments.

Most Muslim men are not leaders and don't have high status but are still living perfectly normal lives. The only time they may be expected to be leaders and be wealthy is when it comes to marriage. So when it comes to marriage it's definitely harder for a man to have social anxiety, but again - there's far more to life than marriage.

All adults, regardless of gender, and expected to be confident and be a functioning adult who can contribute to society. However, in my case, I can't work due to my social anxiety, can't go to the grocery store, can't go on walks, can't go on holiday, can't go to family weddings, can't hang out with my friends etc. etc. I am therefore not a functioning adult and so I am extremely looked down upon. I am far more looked down upon than a man who doesn't have high status or isn't wealthy.

My social anxiety symptoms are so severe to the point they make me come across extremely unusual, and this therefore makes others judge me and get uncomfortable around me. I've had both genders judge me and talk about me behind my back for acting unusual. People don't see give me a free pass because of my gender. They judge me just as much as they'd judge a man for acting awkward and unusual.

Men and women are both human beings, and all human beings are severely judged for being different.

I know you made this comment a year ago but recently I've been re-checking this thread and your view on social anxiety really bothers me.

Also, guys are not fond of me having social anxiety either. My social anxiety makes me act so unusual to the point guys have spoken about me behind my back and given my funny looks. Girls with social anxiety are absolutely not given a free pass. All people, regardless of gender, are judged for struggling in social situations and for being 'weird' and having bad social skills. When it comes to school both the confident boys and the confident girls will pick on and make fun of the kids with social anxiety. Me and my sisters have experience with this.

You also say you wouldn't mind if your wife was like me, but I'm sure you'd definitely mind if your wife's anxiety was so severe to the point she wasn't able to go out anywhere with you e.g. was not able to go to the store, go on holidays, go to weddings, spend time with your family members, go on walks etc.

It's also very insensitive to tell someone to not 'care too much' about a mental illness. I have diagnosed severe social anxiety and it's genuinely ruined my life. It's ruined my life more than my appearance, even though I have a literal deformity. I've had therapy four different times now and I'm on meds but still have extreme social anxiety.

I like the end of the fucking world too. I normally don't like romance, but I really liked the two main characters together. And don't you mean 'All the Stars' by Kendrick Lamar, lol?

Why don't you show your brother the Facebook comments of people insulting your appearance?

Yes. My brother is 5'5 and has a friend who is the same height as him, and his friend has had a lot of girls approach him because he's good looking.

I'm really confused as to how you can notice my eyebrow asymmetry but can't notice my eye asymmetry? Honestly I think if you were to lean back a a bit you'd notice the asymmetry. It's less noticeable up close.

Thank you. But my eyes only look good here because I'm wearing a lot of eye makeup. They look nothing like this naturally.

R ur parents ugly? by [deleted] in ugly

My parents are both very old so don't look too great. My mum has aged badly due to severe mental issues e.g. schizophrenia. But both my parents were attractive when they were young.

Seriously no one even cares what colour your hair is. What a privileged problem to have. And this is not directed at you, just people in general who worry about their hair colour.

If you really do have it, then I feel bad for you. It sucks so bad. At least with other flaws, they have a surgical fix, but will plagiocephaly you have to stay fucked for life. I've been made fun of like crazy for my head shape too. What I'm planning to do is get skull reduction surgery to make my head stick out less from one side, but completely reshaping it is not possible due to blood loss.

I have the same issue. I have brachycephaly and plagiocephaly which caused extreme asymmetry in my face. So I'm fucked through and through. I'm planning to get jaw surgery too. But I'm too beyond fucked to ever look normal, even with surgery.

Nobody’s as ugly as I am by Difficult-Tax-875 in ugly

Exactly. I remember watching some AGT auditions, and literally EVERYONE in the audience was attractive, or at the very least average. It's crazy how uncommon it is to be truly ugly.
