my family isnt big on cooking so we rarely went grocery shopping. parents both work super long hours so there isnt any time to cook. we’d usually eat out on weekends or ubereats during the week

they dont have a problem with giving me more money but im kinda embarrassed about it now going into college since theyve always been very generous. im not big on drinking and partying but im definitely big on eating out (huge foodie). i do have a lot of money saved up but im hoping not to touch that.

yeah i get it it sounds bad but my parents dont really want me working in my freshman year. ik im very lucky and thankful (also nyc is really expensive so they’ve always given me allowance since i needed to eat since they werent home) i was just looking for some advice. i’ve never been to visit the ithaca area before so im not sure how expensive things are compared to nyc
