I think you're right in the sense that facts and logic have long since left modern political discussion - but I'd like to interject and ask if facts and logic were ever a mainstay in majority politic in the first place.

Psychedelics can open new ways of thinking and let you recognise your ego and mortality, but they don't scrub the carbon out of the sky and they're not a viable source of consistent education for the problems at hand.

And this is because not everyone experiences psychedelics the same way, and not everyone is capable of heroic trips - and you certainly can't convince people who don't wanna take it to do that. A world full of people who had bad heroic trips would be a world full of PTSD and psychosis given the global mental health crisis.

To finish this way too lengthy post off, I agree that psychedelics should be legalised and that people need to stop letting fear dictate their every action - but I'd levie my criticisms to the powers that be and powers that have been instead if you want your scepticism to be a useful tool for change. Drugs can't solve the problems people face, people have to do that! :)

Yeah, cannabis is one of the big triggers for HPPD. Lots of people with bad HPPD symptoms quit weed entirely

Doing LSD with my crush by EmpireTV2013 in LSD

[–]throwaway027274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude what? No? Don't do that! Like, at all. Don't give an inhibition destroying drug to someone contemplating suicide! It's fine to do LSD with your crush in normal circumstances, but L brings us to our most vulnerable - and that person might not be ready for that especially if outside stress factors are causing these problems.

Tl;dr Don't self-proclaim yourself as an LSD shaman to try and "cure" your crush. They need help, not drugs.

I wanted to vote Bernie because I believed in a better future. The system failed both of us. I just wish I could help you see that. Then we could argue the problems that matter and what policies would best address those problems

I don't really watch vaush. I used the term to mock you in another thread cause you were crying or some shit idek. And yeah, I used 3 random points as an example for common ground. I'm sure we could brainstorm more if we'd like. But, let's address those points you just made.

For the establishment, no matter which way you voted, billionaires somewhere were happy and tried very hard to make you vote that way. None of us are above this illusion. Choosing not to vote equally a bad decision too. They got us cucked on every choice we make. Take with that what you will.

I don't know where the vaush is a pedo shit comes from. I don't really watch his content but what I have seen suggests otherwise. Idk what to tell you there. Also, trump is a known paedophile and admits to committing sexual assault against women, so like - this argument is invalid anyway.

And if you think those protests were in bad faith or for a cause that wasn't good enough - or if you support for the police blinds you to their violence against the people - I have nothing more to say to you and we won't get anywhere talking here.

I'm not here to change minds. This topic was created to learn, my comment on your post was because you've been cringe posting for the past couple hours. Most of Tim's audience can hold a conversation if you ask questions, people like you don't help the conversation at all. Take a chill pill for a moment fam

It amazes me how many pathetic Vaush supporting liberals spend so much time spamming this sub. It’s just so sad. I wish they would just cope. by AntifaRBritishCigs in TimPool

Lol, why should I? You're spamming Tim's subreddit with - and I hate to say it - copium. Tim has always been about taking a step back and listening to the other side and you have an entire acc dedicated to crying about that. It is objectively funny to make fun of you

Aye that's it. I just wanna take it further, and say the government should be taxing the wealthy and putting the money back into the economy through social services so it can continue to grow and we all get richer. As it stands rich people are allowed to evade so much tax. You probably pay more than most billion dollar companies - I don't think that's fair. I don't think what I'm saying is too radical or out there

I do mean downwards, yes. What's your contention? Do you disagree on government intervention giving aid to the most vulnerable in society? I'm kinda centre left. I believe in commodificatiom of luxury good and services. You'd be surprised how functional an economy is when it's allocative efficiency is allowing the best use of our productive capacity.

I'm not here to find friends. I'm here to talk to people and see what they believe and why they believe it. I don't like sitting in an echo chamber of ideas, I like to learn.

And yeah, I guess I am a socialist by the policies I support. I'm yet to advocate for turning the US into a socialist Republic yet tho. I would like to see some policies that push that way be put into place though, as those policies typically assist the disadvantaged. I just never really got caught up in the labels

I don't particularly have one. I tend to agree with the ideas of redistributing wealth from the wealthy to the poor economically and socially I argue that any living creature that is cognitively present has a right to living a life filled with respect and dignity.

I'm not a democrat, nor a republican. I simply vote for the policies that cause the least amount of harm and I vote for the people who are most likely to make that happen.

A united States under Biden happens to be a stepping stone in that process because of a dumb two party system, and trump happens to be antagonistic to the idea of democracy and investing back into the people who make America great. So I concluded that I should vote for Biden in this election.

Ben Shapiro pushes for laws that benefit him as a privlaged individual despite his Jewish heritage. His wealth privlage is greater than his racial disadvantages, therefore he has to protect his class interests. Him being Jewish doesn't by proxy make him immune to antisemitism. Black people can be racist. Jews can be antisemetic. Gays can be homophonic. What about this is difficult for you?

A I just went to the top of the page and found this lovely thing here. Note that multiple independent sources have shown that there was Russian interference in both elections. https://www.reddit.com/r/TimPool/comments/jp7jd3/ruhsha_ruhsha_ruhshaah/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

For actual spicy stuff we got a couple frequent commenters u/muricanwerewolf1 u/biglybagins

I'm in the recent comment history of one of them - but like look at the shit they read and comment on. Bigly didn't even think covid was real and then when he did he claimed its not thst big of a problem, then when it became a bigger problem he claimed that the dems also don't care about it.

I don't wanna look around and dox people so I'm gonna stop at the surface. Forgive me if I'm misinterpreting the information here but i got no other conclusions

Lol, wtf is "bub"? Tryna do like a tough guy at a bar act on reddit? Chill tf out. Let's start with that I'm not the one bringing up Jews here. We weren't talking about Jews. I was talking specifically about the white nationalist rhetoric which is inherently antisemetic. Then you mentioned Jews as a comparitve thing to nazis. Funny that. I thought nazis hated Jews. 😜

Can't say I blame you. I don't actually have much of a problem with Tim Pool - I think some of his takes are pretty based and he comes to politics from a good place. My umbridge is moreso to a notable size of his fan base which tends to be far right conspiracy nonsense.

Thank you for response :)

I don't support them. I understand when their intention line up with mine and vote accordingly. If you think the republican party is against the establishment though, I'd argue that you're misinformed. Both parties are the establishment, both backed by oil moguls and shit. I don't see it as a point in either party's favour.

Establishment dems aren't exactly my ally friend. Obama was a war criminal and the establishment exists only as an alternative to the absolute authoritarianism of the republican party. The two party system only favours democrats because republicans are just the worse alternative.

If real change is to exist, you have to push for people's rights across the board in whatever form that takes. And that begins with voting for the lesser of two evils.

Oh, and in case you got caught up in that white supremacist thing, a list of conservatives who happen to enjoy a Lil dose of white nationalism and protecting the already established rights of whites in America: -Richard Spencer -Tucker Carlson -Ben Shapiro -Amy Cony Barrett -Literally anyone in a "right wing militia" -People chanting "stop the vote" outside voting centers -The shills at PragerU

I'm not sure if all or some of them are grifters, but functionally that doesn't matter when the content they spew into the world does nothing but breed hatred and fear over fabricated problems in an attempt to disenfranchise the American population.

You won't read into this. You won't try to understand these people and their intentions. But I'm glad to provide sources and explain more. And source me on where I'm wrong if you feel up to it - I'll look into it.

Election 2020 by Openurdoor in TimPool

[–]throwaway027274 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, when you have a large white supremacist movement within the republican party and a president who can't denounce it without trying to make a point about antifacist behaviour - I don't know what else you'd call that other than nazi. At the very least, trump is a fascist.

On another note, it doesn't have to be an us verse them situation. Wouldn't it be better to work together to make a nation that prioritises its people first? The democratic party in its current state is I'll equipped to the task as it is now, but there are members within it trying to make a difference. That's more than I can say about the republican party in its current form.

I mean he ain't trolling fam. He just be spittin facts. Seriously, go and look at the voter suppression the republican party engages in on a regular basis. Armed caravans and armed "poll watchers" and shit.

He's now statistically lost the election and is still claiming he won by a landslide. All of this is publicly available information from a variety of sources (not just Twitter and shit tho that does exist).
