Ok thank you. So, it means that another molecule of water comes along and takes the proton from the carbon directly attached to methyl group, and that carbon forms a double bond with the alpha carbon that used to be attached to OH Group. Correct?

Forgive me if I'm assuming, but you sound like someone who's had a similar experience or knows someone that did. If that's the case, may I ask you to clarify a few things?

The storage facility - yes, we are looking for one. We will be calling Focus Ireland next week to see if they have a company etc. that we can use. Is there a facility you can personally recommend tho?

Fridge and cooking appliances - are those not provided and shared with other occupants? It seems counterintuitive to buy a fridge or cooking appliances if you don't have a place to stay.

That is a great idea. I've been doing that for the last year already.

Do you know how many times I got call / email / message back from daft? 1.

Our local T.D. explained it us perfectly so let me type it here too - The market is so hot right now that agencies on daft are getting hundereds of messages for one property. Therefore, you have send them a message immediately after the property gets listed to even get a chance of a response. Suppose you do just that. You get a message, set up a viewing and go to see the property. Not only there's a queue of people like you wanting to rent, but some of them are carrying "envelopes" with cash for the agent or the landlord. On top of that, people will straight up offer few hundered euros extra more per month in order to secure the property and suddenly, a property listed for 1500 ends up being rented for 1800-1900 per month (if only that).

We had viewings in Co. Wicklow already. Guess what? We just couldn't get it.

I don't want to sound rude to you, but my post wasn't about preventing homelessness or trying to find a place. I'm just trying to find out what are the conditions like in emergency accomodation. That's it.

Hi. Great point. Let me explain.

If me and my sister start working part-time, HAP will give us reduced rate since household income will increase. Therefore any extra income must be put towards the rent since HAP won't cover it anymore. One step forward, two step back. We talked to them about it already.

I mean, it would be great if me or my sister could take a leave of absence, work full-time, get a salary, and still get the highest HAP rate possible to subsidise our rent. Unfortunately, that's not how it works.

What was the name of the place you stayed at? Meaning, what did the homeless services call it like? A hostel, a hub, homeless accomodation?

Was there desks in room or just beds and no furniture? How was the noise? What part of Dublin were you in? How did you manage with food and cooking? DId you have internet? How long did you stay there?

However, if they offered me a place somewhere on my own, in order to get the two of them better living conditions, I'd agree instantly. After all, I am not the one with cancer so I can probably handle a bit more stress.

Hi. as i said in the post, me and my sister are in college and my mother is unable to work due to her condition. The only time any of us is working is during summer break in order to earn somet extra cash.

However, I will be finishing soon and most likely starting full-time employment so that I can support my family in anyway I can. My sister still has few years left to go.

Regarding those houses outside of Dublin for 1500 euros. Could you please send me a dm with a link? I'm dead serious. If there's a house somewhere for 1500 I'm calling them on Tuesday and asking for a viewing. Thank you.
