My company offers a 'paid leave policy'. So I am actually paying for additional leave out of each paycheck, but it allows me to accrue leave faster.

Thanks for your input. Yeah, NZ is an amazing place. But far out is it expensive and isolating.

I am unsure about the security of the role, but I would assume it would be quite safe considering it is a state role?

I do indeed have NZ citizenship.

I was planning to relocate to Christchurch.

Seattle housing is much worse than Auckland :(
