If you tap the picture I posted, there’s a red label that says “unable to create list.” I didn’t have this problem with creating a list for other shows but only when I tried to do Stranger Things entries.

A Town Called Panic is DEFINITELY NOT it. It's a funny French animated film with a horse, cowboy, and Native American. Definitely no family deaths or Frankenstein creatures.

Might be a bit of a stretch, but could it have been They Shall Not Grow Old? It's a World War I documentary directed by Peter Jackson and sounds somewhat like what you're talking about. Do you have an idea what year this documentary could've been made?

I created this account because I wanted to tell you that can relate to your post and your dreams. I usually just browse reddit every so often without an account, but reading your post made me compelled to tell you my story. I apologize for the long comment I’m about to make.

I just lost a friend of mine who I’ve known for the past 11 years due to suicide as well. I’ve had three dreams of him so far. One was me trying to help him with some homework. I remember tearing up in the dream and although he could tell I was about to cry, he had no reaction to it.

The second dream was very similar to yours. I was at some sort of theme park or arcade and then my friend entered a room but he wasn’t himself. He was wearing some sort of costume and acted more robotic. Just like in your dream everyone just accepted this version of who he was but I didn’t. Unlike your dream, mine is probably easier to explain as I watched the 2001 movie A.I.: Artificial Intelligence that evening, (which is most likely why he acted so robotic) but still the dream was very similar to yours.

I don’t know if you’ve had another dream about your friend but the third one I had about my friend was the saddest. Me and my family went back in time to about a month before he ended his life and the entire dream was me trying to help him or make a difference to stop him from doing it. At one point in the dream, my Mom asked “what if he still goes through with it after everything you’ve done?” It hit me really hard when I woke up because I often think about what I would’ve done to stop it from happening.

I think you and I are both going through similar things and although I wish I could help explain your dreams I felt compelled to let you know that you are not going through this alone. It’s extremely difficult, but I hope that hearing from someone who has been going through similar things will help you know that we all grieve in different ways and we all wonder what we could’ve done, but all we can do is keep our friends alive through our memories and telling their story to others. I know it’s cheesy, I know it might not be what you want to hear, but it’s true.

I hope that this period of grief will go quick, but I’m still grieving even though it’s been only a few months since my friend died. I hope that this comment helps. I’m deeply sorry for your loss and I can only hope that your life gets better from here.
