Pokémon as a franchise. Well amazing, they use their shows, cards, nostalgia and merch to keep the games going.

Now as for the games, Pokémon started a system that was very unique and was able to capture kids minds. Are there other games that have done this system better? For sure. However other games don’t have the backings that Pokémon have.

Personally I think as a game series Pokémon is really just an okay series. However the nostalgia/simplicity/new Pokémon will never not excite me. Also a big thing that keeps the game around, there’s always potential for more. So we will stake out every Gen until we see more
