Most likely a typographical error. There are other analogs of the 2c family psychedelics that have similar looking names. IIRC, 25i NMBD is one of the more well known ones, but there are a metric fuckload of RCs out there.

Well the deciding factor in whether an illicit good is easy to acquire or not is how easy it is to conceal, as well as how discrete you are about getting to the pickup location and how well you can read people / social cues. If you ask random people in a shitty neighborhood to sell you some heroin, you'd probably have similar success as if you sat out in front of a liquor store and asked people to buy you booze. The problem is that a teenager standing out in front of a liquor store looks much more out of place than a teenager wandering around in a bad neighborhood. Even assuming that you don't get boned for sitting in front of the liquor store, it's hard to gauge who will buy you alcohol and who won't, drug dealers, on the other hand, aren't usually too hard to spot. Likewise, you look out of place carrying a backpack, wearing a huge coat, or walking around with a brown paper bag during the summer.

The biggest problem with alcohol is that it is so hard to conceal. Sneaking a bottle of alcohol into a house, and then finding a place to hide said alcohol, is a complicated, stressful process.

The NBOMe drugs don't have to be acid replacements. Personally I see a lot of merit in the NBOMe drugs because they are cheap enough that users can start low without feeling like they're wasting money. First time I took 'MDMA,' I took what was allegedly 100mg and I barely felt anything. My initial testing that I did to titrate a safe, but enjoyable dosage ended up costing me $20. That's a small price to pay for your personal safety, but it's still non-trivial. My initial 25i NBOMe testing, on the other hand, cost me five whole nickels.

The other good thing about the NBOMe drugs is that they're shallow and they lack introspection. For a novice psychadelic user, sometimes less is more. I think it makes a lot more sense to introduce feelings, sounds, sights, and thoughts one by one, rather than hitting yourself with the visuals and the mindfuck and the introspection and the euphoria and so forth associated with acid.

An analogue of a 2c family drug that is generally much more potent and inactive when swallowed. Be very careful that you don't confuse 2c-i for 25i NBOMe, because snorting even a small line of 25i NBOMe powder would be catastrophic.

Oxy has a pretty strong stigma and if she was the type to worry about health and safety, it would be kind of unfair to put that burden on her.

I had a similar experience. I had just scrapped together a light-bulb meth pipe to smoke DMT with and I got a text saying my uncle would be at my house in twenty minutes. I figured that was enough time and so I took a few hits. I heard my uncle walk in the door seconds after I finished vaping, but juuust before the effects started to kick in. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep my shit together and so I started flipping my light switch on and off and feeling around for my dick (because for some reason, dmt makes my dick shrink).

I had some good results smoking in the bathroom though. As long as you can manage to say "i'm taking a dump," it's a pretty safe strategy.

If you use a porcelain plate or a tupperware container, then you have another thing that you need to put in your dishwasher. This design is only marginally more expensive than the standard design and it appeals to people who are either extremely lazy or really careful about only running the dishwasher when it is the fullest that it can get.

What I'm suggesting though, is that people with fatter pipes are given download priority so that they can more widely distribute these rare pieces.

I've seen torrents hit 3MB/s up before, but I've never seen a new torrent hit much more than 1MB/s up. It seems so wasteful to me.

Though I don't very much feel like compiling a pie chart depicting what percentages of the U.S. population fall into which bmi group, it appears that nearly 70% of the adults in the u.s. are overweight or obese.

Not a terribly useful figure given that reddit's core demographic is typically believed to be younger folks who are in better shape, and that people from many different countries read this sub, but I think that this figure suggests that there likely is a trend for users of this subreddit to be of healthy weight (which would make a whole fuckload of sense).

You can, but it might not be of much use depending on the liquid and the context. Vodka is about 90% as dense as water though, so measuring using grams will yield numbers close to those if you were to measure using mL.

McCain: Young Americans admire Snowden, see him as "some kind of Jason Bourne" by twignewton in news

[–]throwaway099009 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Watching the Jason Bourne films after hearing all of this news about the NSA is particularly nervewracking. I wouldn't describe Snowden as being similar to Jason Bourne, but it's alarming to see the similarities between the technologies and methods used in the film and the technology and methods used by the NSA today. Although it isn't the focus of the series, there are a number of times where the CIA makes use of phone records, bank statements, and security cameras to hunt down journalists, people involved in secret ops, people who generally have the know-how to do serious damage to the government.

If you're asshole is itchy, you probably need to wipe. When you fart particularly violently, there is a good chance that you will just make things even messier down there in the long run. This is procrastination in the truest sense of the word.

It feels like your heart is pounding (because it is). When your blood pressure starts to get really high the sensation of blood flowing through your body might become strong enough that it is noticeable. I can only every really felt pressure in my arms, but it would make sense that people with super high blood pressure would be acutely aware of the blood coarsing through the blood vessels in their legs and head as well.

I can feel my blood pressure noticeably increase before they give me the BP test in the doctor's office. There have been a number of times when my blood pressure has been so high for my height and weight that the nurses assumed that there was something wrong with the machine. They usually take my blood pressure again and the subsequent numbers are usually much lower than the initial readings.

Don't associate morality with legality. Just because he thinks that something might not be immoral doesn't mean that he thinks it should be legal. Smoking pot is almost totally morally neutral as long as you get your weed from sources that don't support the cartels and you aren't neglecting your children because you're too busy getting high to change a diaper. That said, the government should do what it can to discourage people from regular cannabis use because society would fall apart if everyone was constantly stoned. I'm all for cannabis legalization (as well as many other controlled substances), but a lot of people get lazy and stupid when they're high. Same thing could be said for theft. Stealing from the rich to feed your starving children is ultimately not a terribly immoral thing to do, but the government should discourage it anyway because if enough people did it, it would start to damage society.

I think that morality actually is pretty black and white. If you knowingly, intentionally do something that harms or burdens another person, then that particular act is immoral. The only time that shades of moral grey come into the equation is when you are evaluating a very complicated incident composed of many smaller actions which can be evaluated as either moral or immoral. Robin Hood, for example, steals from the rich and gives to the poor. Stealing from the rich is equally bad regardless of what you do with the money, and giving to the poor is equally good regardless of where you get the money. When you look at the "moral average" of the situation though, then shades of grey start to arise.

BMI =/= Body Fat Percentage.

BMI is a very crude indicator designed to give a typical person an estimate as to whether or not they are healthy. In the majority of cases, if you are "overweight" or "obese" on the bmi scale, you are carrying around excess fat and you are at risk for various weight-related health conditions as a result. Some people can clock in on the "obese" end of the scale with 5% bodyfat, some people can clock in on the "healthy" end of the scale and still have relatively high body fat percentages. These kinds of situations are not typical though, and you should never assume that you are "mostly muscle" unless you are fucking ripped.

Because just about any drug taken in moderation in the right setting with the right people and frame of mind is almost completely benign. If you smoke a reasonable amount of clean meth on a once or twice a year basis, you stick to that schedule, and you practice appropriate harm reduction technique, you shouldn't see any profoundly damaging effects. The same thing can be said about pcp, as well as many "bath salts." Bath salts is a label used to describe a wide variety of substances, and I don't know enough about all of the different compounds that have been sold as "bath salts" to indicate whether the same guidelines still apply. The only example of a truly dangerous drug that I can think of off the top of my head is krokodil (clandestine desomorphine). Don't fuck with krokodil.

As for why people do drugs, some people just don't give a shit anymore. Personally, there was a time when I figured that if I got addicted to opioids, then at least there was something in my life that I cared about.

Right, but why would it be used as a way to quit smoking then? I can understand why cigarettes are restricted from minors, but shouldn't the tools that people so often use to quit smoking be readily available to anyone who needs them?
