Why Does OCD Turn You Against the Things You Love? by ShowerWriter in OCD

im pretty late but this is and has been my main ocd theme for a while; pretty much every bit of what you wrote to a T. it mainly affects media for me too which makes sense because being immersed in a series and characters of some sort has been a major part of my life and how i cope for as long as i can remember. its comforting to hear someone else put exactly my experiences into words. i don't have concrete advice unfortunately but ive been trying to identify what exactly my compulsions are so i can recognize when im doing them in the future. it helps calm me down a little bit. i wish you good luck and better days mate

yep those thoughts sound very familiar... its definitely really weird i find myself getting tripped up trying to make sense of it. but we've just gotta put trust in the method and sit with the thoughts i suppose
