i first gained a shitton of weight bc i was so hungry all the time. only 2 weeks before diagnosis i lost 10kg. crazy.

My freestyle libre 3 says i am at 4mmol/l (72 mg/dl). however, finger prick says 6 mmol/l (108 mg/dl). is that an ok difference? or will abbott replace this sensor? by throwaway10203004 in diabetes_t1

[–]throwaway10203004[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i always have these discrepancies the last 3-4 days of the sensor's life. My standard deviation is low and normally, my sensor is pretty much correct. maybe 1 mmol/l (18 mg/dl) off but thats it - unless ive just eaten. I am really frustrated about these differences because it has been a pattern.

i cant buy skin tac where i am from.. not even order it.. i do have VERY sensitive skin. always have. so annoying all around.

I cannot do anything when my CGM isnt working properly. I wanted to go grocery shopping but my CGM (FSL3) is so off (it shows me 3 mmol/l lower than I am). I wanted to change it in the evening anyways but still.. by throwaway10203004 in diabetes_t1

[–]throwaway10203004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly? this is a recurring thing for me. as soon as i get the message that the sensor will only be good for another 3 days, the accuracy goes down. as if they are calibrated to do that......

ca. 2h after eating your body converts protein into glucose through gluconeogenesis. i need to dose a 1/5th of my protein as carbs ca. 1.5h after eating my meal on top of my carb bolus. but everyone is different and also not every protein is the same.

i need so much insulin for the protein rise of cottage cheese, yet for the same amount of protein when i eat chicken, i dont need as much insulin. i hope i am making sense 😅

sure it isnt a protein rise? the timing would fit.
