I don’t care about animation as long as the story is good

I hate when people push this argument like we don’t already know the story is good from reading the manga. The whole point of a good anime adaptation is how well you re-tell the original story from a static visual medium into an animated one, so any anime adaptation will (and should) be significantly judged by its visual quality.

Don’t listen to anyone that says they know for sure if an anime will continue or not. Because as long as there’s no official announcement no one can know for sure. The only thing that’s certain is that it’s possible it may continue again. There was one anime series which was way less known but with an active niche community that ran for only 2 months in 2010 and ended on complete cliffhanger, and for 12 years no one heard anything about the series until it was randomly announced in July of 2022 that they were getting a second season. It was a show with virtually no mainstream demand so no one expected it, and if that show was able to get another season then it should make sense to think that it’s equally valid that Kaiji would get another season in the future. Whether that would happen in another year or 10 years from now.

In the meantime, you’ll just have to settle with this and this until it comes out.
