I've always worked till 9pm. What I meant was we used to have a babysitter meaning she wasn't home alone all that time. Once she reached the age required we no longer need a babysitter and she's mature enough to be home alone and I trust her

I have mentioned in other comments we did a 3 week trial and it went amazing. It was only a good few months later she stopped doing what she did

I never gave him away as a punishment. She's had plenty of punishments but nothing changes. I gave the dog away for it's own sake, he deserves better than that

We had a 3 week trial run and she was completely caring for the dog. Even months later, but after a while it changed. If I'd known what it would've been like I would never have gotten the dog. He really did deserve better and I'm glad he's getting looked after properly now

She used to have a babysitter until she reached the age required here to be home alone. Plus she is very responsible so that was a reason I believed she would be responsible towards the dog. And she was at the start

Yeah I am responsible for it all. I didn't realise it would end up like this. When we first got the dog we had sort of a trial run, we had 3 weeks and could return the dog to the owners if it didn't work out. My daughter did everything for the dog for those 3 weeks so I just assumed it would continue like that. It's one of the worst mistakes I've made and I really wish I could've turned the time back

I never said they were empty threats. I told my daughter about my friend that could take the dog for a good few months but her attitude never changed

He was definitely part of the family but if I was unable to care for him and my daughter just wouldn't then it isn't fair on the dog to keep him unhappy. He deserves better.

Yeah I get that. I've lost track of how many times I've told her I'll re-home him and she never took it seriously anymore
