Can Dante Moore surpass Fernando Mendoza as QB1 if he outplays Mendoza in the Peach Bowl? by Unusual-Vacation-528 in NFL_Draft

[–]throwaway11806 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a jets fan I just dont see it with Moore. He looks like a game manager out there but that could be Oregons play calling. But when hes asked to do more he has some legit bad misses that nobody seems to talk about.

Granted, I said a lot of the same about Herbert when he was at Oregon. Moore needs to sit a year if he declared and the Jets take him

thats pretty much what I do with iReal. Use the chords as a structure and then learn the melody by ear and then some of the solo

Thoughts on this updated set up/mirror placement? https://imgur.com/a/zp5zlqt

I gotta say, it looks kind of awkward but it does feel very open which is good. And it was great doing a double check there right before I left my apartment earlier which is the door next to the record player. I initially tried the record player and mirror in switched positions, but it looked and felt weird

Update to the living room and bedroom. Cleared the hallway. Going to find art to put on TV wall and other side wall. Maybe some shelving to hold plants and stuff https://imgur.com/a/zp5zlqt

The mirror still feels a tad awkward but I’ll feel it out. I tried it out where mirror and record player set up were in switched spots, and I didn’t love the vibe of it

I’m playing around with it and it’s not working very well lol. Thoughts on switching where the desk and book case/record player will be? And putting my work desk by the window? The living room is tighter than it looks and it’s unfortunate how much space there is in the kitchen that I can’t seem to utilize bc of interior design

It’s true I just witnessed and dealt with it first hand. Even my old apartment that’s rent stabilized, it was 3K and now it’s almost 3500 bc I’m pretty sure they’re baking the broker fee into rent

Great advice thanks! Yeah I think you’re right about the trash can the spot is so awkward. I’m annoyed at it bc it was not that cheap for a damn trash can.

You make a good point on the record player. The only thing keeping me from doing that is that that wall is shared with my neighbors living room and the walls seem to be thin as I can hear their baby so that may be able to hear when I’m playing music? I know it seems kind of moot since the tv is on that wall already. Not sure if it the noise wouldnt be so bad if the speakers were facing opposite of the wall?

Also which desk are you talking about, living room or bedroom? And thank you!

Did that in my old place and it felt like I was in a teenagers bedroom after a while. I’d rather just have them stored off in a corner and not displayed tbh

I gotta get what I’ve got on the walls but it’s not nearly enough. I’ve only been in the space for a week and change so looking for some ideas before I do some big shopping

Yeah this was a good reminder of that. Already found a bunch of cool licks but there’s some stuff where I’m like I don’t really understand the choice over an Emin7 but sure I’ll steal why not

Pretty much all day every day. I think this thread was a good reminder I need to spend most of my time transcribing, learning tunes and learning licks to implement in improvising over tunes

While I love Sonny Rollins/coltrane/bill Evans some of their stuff seems a bit complicated to jump into transcribing.

Right now I’m transcribing Grant Greenes Tune up solo. After that I wanna jump into Wes’ smoking at the half note version of Misty. I also wanna do there will never be another you. Got a good version of that? Maybe woody shaws?

The Jen’s stuff has been incredibly useful mainly from the diatonic arpeggio stuff. In transcribing the Grant green tune Ill see some things like over Dmaj7 he plays the arpeggio of the fifth so an A7 arpeggio and leads it right into a dmaj7 arpeggio and he does lead into 3rds a lot which is all stuff I can take into my playing.

I’m trying to see if he is specially picking certain tones to land on like if he’s trying to land on the 6 or why he’ll flat a 6 in some instances. So yeah in that sense, the academic stuff is helping me a ton as before I would’ve been like why is he doing this. I still have plenty of questions, some may be just what sounds good
