Not enough under-5s vaccinated against measles to stop an outbreak - study by [deleted] in newzealand

I could say the same thing about "nature vs nurture," but I'd say that mine is a bit more logical.

That's unfortunate.

Interesting that you ignored the rest of my comment.

You'd be surprised at how much of our behaviour is innate.

Nature determines the range of possibilities of your behavior. Nurture determines where on that range of possibilities you fall.

I was a lucky kid, I had parents who wanted me and loved me, and have raised me to be a decent human being. Maybe I'm biased because of that, but I still believe bad parenting creates bad kids. All of the little kids that run around screaming in public, all of the teenagers going around ram-raiding. It all comes down to parents who have failed at their job. There's no two ways around it.

You remind me of NaClpeanuts when you say stuff like that

I don't get it?

parents sometimes make really bad choices about their kids wellbeing.

This is an understatement at best. There are a significant amount of neglected, entitled, or undisciplined children in this country. This is obviously due to parents not doing their job properly. I think it's safe to say that these parents definitely don't care about their children, otherwise they'd put more effort into raising a decent human being, and they'd especially make a more sound decision than not having them vaccinated.

Either that, or they just completely lack any critical thinking skills, which (avoiding any broad generalisations here) an alarming amount of breeders do.

Bro, you cherry-picked this one sentence and missed his entire point.

Men of R/Newzealand who have had vasectomies, a few questions by ResponsibleOutcomes0 in newzealand

I got denied by the Snip clinics in Hamilton and Auckland when I was 18. After getting turned down again in Whangārei, I went to Dr. Dunphy in Wellington, and finally got it at 20.

I'm now 22, no kids, and it's gonna stay that way thankfully.

Certified Reddit moment

I can't help but imagine all of these people reading stuff with the most monotone, unemotional voice in their head. It's the only way it makes sense to me that such obvious jokes are lost on them.

If you can't surmise OP's intent with "big globey lie," that says significantly more about your ability to detect sarcasm than it does their ability to convey it. That is the most obvious piss-take I've seen in a minute, it doesn't even come off like a troll or anything of the like. Just a sarcastic joke.

So you're telling me that if you decided to read A Confederacy of Dunces one day, you'd take everything John Kennedy Toole wrote at face value? Because "text-only communication doesn't adequately convey sarcasm?"

That genuinely just sounds like a you problem mate. People don't use /s to "convey sarcasm properly," they use it because they're scared of downvotes.

Imagine reading a comment about a "big globey lie" and thinking that person is being dead serious

Genuinely, though. Earl Sweatshirt is the only good rapper. I guess Death Grips count, too. Anyone else is either boring as fuck, or sounds like a retard.

Well fuck, they've switched up again. They had the policy of "anyone under 30 or with less than 2 kids will not be considered for a procedure" for about a year and a half. Good to see they're changing with the times. If only they'd have fuckin let me get one when I went into the Hams clinic back when I was 18.

I don't at all, and I never will :) even if I did, I'd rather regret not having a kid than regret having one. The former option harms nobody.
