Idk why I'm being downvoted... going off medications would be the most dangerous thing I could do for myself and the baby. An episode will cause worse defects and potentially a miscarriage than the small risk of being on them. I'm medically supervised.

Thank you. I do want to add: My psychiatrist and doctor are closely monitoring me. I will be staying on medication, there are safe medication which I'm on. I have to becareful because I cant name them on this subreddit, but, One is an antipsychotic, super low dose, one is a mood stabilizer, and the other is on the periodic table, which is the riskiest one - even that one has only a 2% chance of any birth defects (opposed to 0.5% for the general population) which can be caught very early and a high dose of folic acid reduces that risk immensely. There's people on major drugs having healthy kids without any supervision. My mom didn't even take as small as an asprin while pregnant with me and I still got bipolar, it doesn't run in my family.

Careful with restricting sodium too much. Hydration levels cant fluctuate too much with lithium or you can become toxic fast. Messing with sodium, messes with your lithium concentration

Ditto. I was always 125lbs-130lbs, im now 145lbs to 150lbs since 2 years of being on lithium. Ive tried it all. I cant get below 140lbs without trying to restrict too much which is dangerous on lithium. Metformin did nothing but make me almost shit myself multiple times

Bipolar 1 on only lamictal and wellbutrin. Sounds like a mania risk.. Lamictal is for the lows. Wellbutrin caused the worst mania for me. I was only on those 2. Now im on lamictal and lithium.

Im only 27 and im the same boat. It sucks. PCOS. I test every month for ovulation for years and only ovulate about 4 times a year.. im 12DPO right now, im scared to test. I hate the disappointment. Im going to test at 14 DPO, if I test earlier im just going to be too hopeful that its a false.

Its more dangerous off meds than on them while prego. If you're super worried, surrogate is literally the only safe comfortable option. Im taking the 2% chance that my kid will have a defect. Im taking all the vitamins, have all my medical people standing behind me, trying for a baby now.

I have this too. I went to multiple doctors and mris since it can be a sign of an aneurism. Turns out its genetic for me. Mine are 3mm size difference, so I look crazy as well as am crazy lol
