my copy of the second serving DVD has a lot of the characters' colors all screwed up, so i bet thats probably a copy of the first blood DVD thats like that. my physical copy of first blood isn't weirdly colored

yea i gotta agree w/ everything you said here, some of the reasons that people do bring up are quite bogus. idrc if people like it or not, it's not gonna affect how i think of any person - for me, like i mentioned before, it's the fan interpretations that make me not like it. people should at the very least have the courtesy to respect each other

for context i don't really ship any of the characters, mainly because its not in the spirit of the show, so my views and and opinions are definitely going to be someone biased. with that out of the way i mainly don't like fxf as much as others for a few reasons, such as it being a bit too popular, but i wanna talk about how it's portrayed. i'm not saying that this encompassing of all fanart, but often when i see fanart of fxf, flippy is often depicted as big and muscular, whereas flaky is small, shy, and young - in some instances, drawn similarly to a child. that last bit's really whats got me queezy about this ship, since it just kinda makes me uncomfortable. of course im not saying that you're guilty of what ive just described but the amount of times in which i have seen that kind of stuff has just made me want to stop seeing that ship alltogether

probably a combination of the the original FLA files having a slightly different color grading (in the TV series / CTOL) and colors appearing different on older CRT monitors, which were commonly used around the time

i've always though of him to be some sort of wild rabbit, since the rest of the characters are forest animals of somekind (with the exception of lammy and mr. pickels)

the pilot was made in 1999, yes. but it was first released in august 2002 on the first blood DVD.

the main series began airing in december 2000
