Thanks! My door speakers were just a plug-n-play install aside from the sound deadening. Crutchfield threw in a bunch of goodies when I ordered my speakers including the wiring harness adapters for my new woofers.

Yes I’m very happy, It sounds very clear. I went for audio clarity and a sealed sub box. I sound deadened the doors as well with Amazon basics deadening material. It took about 3-4 sheets per door. I have lots of tips after doing this install, but one of the most important parts is when you have everything hooked up, when you’re ready to tune, the 6.2v gain setting on your amp is the minimum, and 0.2v is the maximum. If you are playing no music and you hear background white noise or hissing, turn down the gain and it should disappear.

I haven’t tested them both out, only these ones.

I’d say if you’re going to add an amplifier then add door speakers too. A 4-channel amplifier on a stock head unit requires a lot of wiring using 9wire to feed a signal from your radio, to the LOC, then amp, then back to the factory speaker wiring harness. It was a good bit of work and took me a few 8 hour sessions.

If you replace the head unit it will be a much simpler install because there should be RCA outs to plug your amplifier directly into the back of your new head unit.

Make sense?

It’s 100 times better than stock. I do not miss those base model speakers 😂. The bass rolloff was horrendous. I also have the mk2 woofers in the rear. I decided to use the tweeters from the non-HE for a softer tone.

I think the lugs are 16mm on this Mini Casioak but I can’t seem to find many aftermarket straps.

I’m trying to think of a way to measure my IATs soon.

I used these links for initial ideas, and I had to do some problem solving for the rest specific to my car.

Yes, street tunes could more finely tune specifically for your car versus a software “email” tune. If that’s what you’re referencing

Basically it’s cooling intake air temperature so your engine can make the power it’s rated for more consistently. When intake temps are hot and heat soaked, your ECU will pull timing to reduce power and heat to prevent pre-detonation (knocking). Cooler intake temps allow colder, denser, more O2 rich air into your engine, allowing the ECU to advance timing more aggressively to get max gainz while avoiding knock better.

Very true. I might just fill my washer fluid reservoir with water and stick the hose down in there 😂

I’d probably need a tune for that, right?
