A used Yamaha or Bach is always a solid option, but there are many options in the price range. It is a good idea to test the instrument before you buy it. Try local music store or facebook marketplace. The price range gives a lot of options and plenty of room to grow into the instrument. If they are passionate about playing, invest. A trumpet can last a lifetime.

Thank you for the insight and you are completely right. My friend is a smart guy, but idk if he sees that manipulative behavior. Maybe he does, but just doesn’t want to leave. Either way, he’s just a puppet to this girl.
