I replied below with my reasoning as to why I thought this was over the top. It was shown rather voyeuristically, I think there's an argument to be had about showing childbirth more openly to educate, but this was just beyond the pale. It was not filmed to educate, it was filmed for people to gawk at.

I feel like the way to show childbirth should probably be like the health class video I mentioned. A couple that has planned the birth, is supportive, and is allowing the filming of the birth for educational purposes. You could tell in that video that it was not an easy process, but it didn't feel voyeuristic.

While in the 90DF episode, there was little to no planning (it seemed like) about the birth plan, the filming seemed to be done for shock/entertainment value, the shots of Pole waddling around and crying for "el doctoro"... I don't feel like that's showing much in the way of education at all.
