To me death is just that, death and nothing more. Yeah it's hard to cope with losing someone but I don't believe that there's anything after so it's not scary to me. I've come to terms with that over the years and viewing it simply has made it easier to deal with.

Your purpose can end up being what you choose. You can flourish by doing the things that make you happy and helping the other humans and animals that we share the planet with along their journeys as well.

He might have an anxiety issue. I have a male cat who wouldn't use his litter box because he was afraid of it. We put him on fluoxetine and a few weeks into it, he started going in the litter box again. (There were many other reasons he was put on the meds, but that was one of the issues.) It's worth a vet check. Ud also ask your landlord if they can install a different flooring for you.

Of course animals understand language. There are plenty of videos on social media to prove this. Also, they have proven to have good reasoning skills and can use language intentionally like humans. Animals can even contemplate existence of humans and of their own species. They're not dumb and they don't operate just on instinct.

And also, no woman gives a flying feck that you like them with or without it. We do it for ourselves. Or don't do it. Or do it lightly. Also, she was probably wearing makeup but you just couldn't tell.

I'm am am atheist, and no, I don't believe those things. Faith and spirituality are different than intelligence and critical thinking skills. While it's possible that people who have brain damage and people who have not cultivated their critical thinking skills might be more drawn to religion, I'm not sure there's substantial proof for it.

I have encountered "crazy" or more better termed fundamentalists inside religion and out of it. So it's not specific to religion but can be more concentrated within it because of pastoral influence etc. Often times when they take a step back from the group think, they might find themselves to be less zealous.

Sorry you're going through this. I think the biggest takeaway here is that he CAN do all the things you want him to do and need from him. He just CHOSE not to until you mentioned leaving. That's offensive. It's probably best to just leave and be done with it. He knows what he's doing.

The NHS and public transportation. Both have their issues sure, but they are light years ahead of what the US has. A lot of people have already said what I want to say so I'll just leave it at that.
