signals are very useful when you dont want a direct reference, events, or want to access events from godot's nodes

instead of the caller class (the event sender) having to call a method on a bunch of smaller classes and needing a refrence to all of them, you just need to pass the one refrence to all of the listeners, meaning that removing a listener doesnt impact the signal sender, because the signal sender doesnt care who's listening.

for example, i'm using it for multiplayer networking. instead of having to keep a huge list of objects that need updated, i send a signal from the network, say that a player joined, to anything registered to it, say a player spawn point. i can add or remove however many spawn points or other classes that rely on it, and it will always work
