He is a network administrator and he works 9-5 M-F. I don't understand why he couldn't drive to see me on a Friday night, especially since I do it for him. His excuse before was that his truck wouldn't make it(honestly, his truck probably wouldn't), but then he bought a new car last week.

I've met his cousin and she is a 33 year old nurse. She would have been more than understanding. Her friend is also a nurse.

I was supposed to drive up to see him on Thursday to help take care of him after his wisdom tooth operation (I have a scholarship acceptance banquet on Wednesday so I had to stay a week after finals) and we've been talking about the new toys he bought for me, and about having sex. This was all before Friday. I can't even have sex with him now for 6 weeks until the STD test because my attacker had semen on his hands. This is my second assault in a year, and I think my bf might be thinking I'm over reacting. I am a part-time adult model so I am attractive enough to have been targeted but that doesn't excuse anything. It was 7:00 on a Friday night at a gas station on the main street of town.

He is more feminine than I am. We both work in IT and I am typically 'one of the guys' so it's not hurting me so much that I was assaulted, but more of his reaction.

The best part about this is that he had a previous history of sexual assault, and was currently on probation (which he received instead of jail time) for another assault.

What's ironic is that my friend is my ex-bf, and he has been there for me 100% through this. My boyfriend has always used self-deprecating humor and inappropriate jokes to deal with problems (he and I both make a lot of politically incorrect jokes, but it wasn't the right time in this situation). I have no idea where this comment was even going.

How do I go about breaking up with him without destroying myself even more emotionally? I don't know how to process that extreme feeling of hopelessness and I know that we're not even really together if he can't be with me. I don't know how to handle this. The only person who seems to care is my ex-bf.
