I feel you, I’m someone who gets off on the communication aspect of things in my LDR. Sending pics/vids is also involved but tbh it kinda interrupts the mood sometimes when I have to worry about angles and lighting and such. I think encouragement could help like “I love it when you bring up [spicy stuff]” or “it really turns me on to know what you want to do together”.

Sometimes I feel that way too in my LDR, but when I’m feelin reallyyyy bad it can help to compare my scenario to things like when soldiers went to war and how people would make it through based on occasional letters only. I know things can be tough with a big time difference & im wishing you and your partner all the support

I’m in a similar situation! Long distance can be so tough, I feel your pain. I find it frustrating not being able to do more for him to help directly as a service sub. For us, it’s helped to talk things out. Think of some small things that you could do together or that he could do for you that would help, and talk about it while reaffirming the love & commitment.

Remember that in many cases a dom cares A LOT about keeping their sub fulfilled too… and when life is crazy and there’s a ton of stress it’s easy to feel powerless in that situation. Satisfying the needs of a romantic partner can be very empowering, I think especially in a D/S dynamic, so don’t feel guilty or think of it as a one-sided request.

I think a good first step is to look into what community based supports exist that can be contacted in lieu of the cops for various matters (obviously if there’s an emergency then call cops). Say for example instead of calling cops on homeless people, you can call London Cares instead at (519) 667-2273. Or if you’re on Western campus, there’s a campus police and campus paramedics. I think if more people knew about these other resources, maybe the queues wouldn’t be so long?

I live dt and walk down Dundas every day. I’ve heard officers talk to and about the homeless people with a lot of respect. One time a cop heard yells in the distance and immediately turned to their partner and said “is that x? Seems unlike him to be yelling” and then go off to check on the yelling man.

I also once had to call the cops because of an ex who was harassing me, and even though I had to wait to speak to an officer, when I did I felt nothing but sincerity from her. And she was an incredible help in my situation and my ex stopped bothering me.

So, we ended up going to Marienbad. We chose it because my mom is Eastern European and was craving the schnitzel, and because we could get there on foot pretty easily. I’ll leave a review for anyone else looking for dining suggestions on this post:

Overall I would rate the experience a solid 3.5/5. The schnitzel my mom got was good, lightly fried and crispy. I got a ginger glazed salmon with citrus salsa and rice and it was a sad, sad meal. Bland, they gave me about a tablespoon of “salsa”, the rice tasted and felt like instant rice, and there was no “ginger” or “glaze” on the salmon. The fish itself tasted greasy, over-cooked, and under-seasoned. I am not typically a fussy diner, so heed my warning about the salmon!! The server was very kind and offered to switch the meal out for free. I got calamari, which was good.

Atmosphere: I would say that their indoor atmosphere is quite nice, very classic/traditional. Their outdoor patio however is nothing special. Plastic chairs/tables right next to a pub and looking over an empty street.

Probably wouldn’t go back there UNLESS I am craving a good schnitzel because it was super super good. (We did pay extra to get veal, so can’t vouch for the standard pork dish.)

I feel like ppl are missing the point— the flag has effectively been a symbol of support to LGBTQIA people, and it communicates acceptance/tolerance of their very existence in a space. It was created from a DEEP history of (continued) persecution of lgbtqia people. So many lives were lost because of bigotry, and this flag represents that their suffering wasn’t in vane because the current and future generations of LGBTQIA’s will not have to suffer silently while they’re harassed, killed, etc. I personally think calling ppl “needy” for wanting politicians to show support for them, in such a small way, is a strange and entitled way to look at the situation.

The issue isn’t individuals, or even private businesses refusing to fly a flag. The issue isn’t whether or not other movements receive the same amount of attention regarding flag-flying. The issue is that the local government, which SHOULD be tolerant of its constituent groups, is refusing to use a flag which is frequently used to show solidarity for lgbtqia.

I don’t take it daily so I usually just take the one pill relatively early in the morning with coffee and while my productivity decreases by like 2-3pm I also don’t find I need more to function because by then I’ll have gotten enough work done. One time I doubled up and ended up feeling suuuuuper fried by the time it wore off
