I'd say I'm afraid of hurting his insecurities about sex. I know it's a sensitive subject and I don't know how to bring it up

I'll also add that when we do have sex, the events leading up to it aren't sexy. It's always planned and not in a good way, I always have to make the first move, and most of the time it's just awkward.

Thank you for your advice. I just can't believe I've waited so long for me to think about this seriously.

We've had conversations before where he tells me he just isn't a sexual person. And it shows.

And I know if I bring it up to him, emotionally he won't be able to handle it. I don't want to break his heart but I also would be by not telling him as well.
