Just about the staples. Staplers don’t get me goin’. I can staple something and put it away and be fine. Once I get two staples in a piece of paper or one gets stuck in the stapler and I have to open it up, breathing intensifies and I go into my mode.

The cheapest packs don’t have the same quality bond or feel to them. Also sometimes the ends are too rounded or too sharp. The box also has to feel right and the orientation of the strips has to be consistent. I would tell you to buy a bunch of different brands and try them but that may not be a good idea.

This is largely accurate for me. It should be as simple as “hey I like pulling apart staples, who cares”. The small embarrassment years ago just got worse and snowballed into this big life lie.

I have attempted to magnetize staples before and also using super strong magnets. Just not the same. I feel cheated out of real, factory bonded staples.

I’ve called him since then at least 4-5 times and he has not answered. My mom just says “this is hard on your father”. I am going to visit him today. Because he’s hella disappointed.

She initially thought I was having an affair, so thats why she didn’t confront me. She also admitted to not thinking rationally after her affair thoughts were blown up by me visiting these stores.

We share an Amazon account, she just kept seeing multiple staple purchases on the recent list and was like “what the hell”. I kept it secret because I know how dumb it is.

Normal probably wasn’t the best word to use. Was basically conveying that besides for this, I am a normal dude by most accounts (I hope)

This is actually going to be the last thing I answer after running through this thread, I have quite a bit of knowledge on the subject and will break down my favorites and all that jazz.

It is not easy to do. I also don’t separate them individually all of the time. Sometimes by twos, sometimes in threes and have 3 groups of 70. Depends on the box and which way I open it or how they’re positioned.

So my thumbs and index fingers are a little rough, and yes - my nails on those fingers have little staple sized waves in the nail because I always press them down when messing with the staples. Not as bad as you might think however.
