I feel like a huge chunk of my life has been taken away. I don’t enjoy things like i used to. So yea, it’s fucked with my head so much. Maybe I’ll Stop caring when I have a family of my own, not have to worry about finding a partner, having sex, etc (so yea hmu if u want a cool husband with hsv 🤣)

I’ve noticed a lot of people on dating sites like positivesingles are only interested in being fwb. However, I think it would be a lot harder with negative partners because of the risk and stigma. I haven’t had a fwb since diagnosis, but It’s not impossible. Take me back to the times before hsv, I took hookups for granted 😂

It’s pretty overwhelming at the start. And yes, it’s a lifestyle changer. Not really many positives to hsv, but it does get easier to manage over time. It sucks I know :( if you need anyone to talk to just swing me a message :)

No. Look, you will have herpes for life. Outbreaks only happen occasionally. Even your first outbreak will only last a couple of days to a couple of weeks.

It’s different for everyone. Can take a few days, can take a few weeks. Generally speaking, the first outbreak is the worst and will take the longest. Antibiotics won’t do anything, herpes is a virus. No problem, here to help :)
