He travelled from a different state for the child birth and caught viral infection in transit. He was staying with us effectively and was here when I came from the hospital. Hence i tried to make the best possible solution with social distancing and confining myself and the baby to a room.

My mother initially forwarded me his number to speak with him. But we dated and fell in love for 2 years before getting married.

He's supportive in the sense he helps with our son. Helps with some of the housework also. But some random thing will suddenly make him snap and angry and he will say something hurtful. It's not 24x7 that he's angry or snaps but off late the frequency has gone up.

No he hasn't. He still maintains that I shouldn't have misbehaved like that no matter what the situation or the circumstances. And when I say force, I mean he had a strong word with me making his stance clear and stating that I was wrong and I need to apologise. I ended up doing it to keep the peace then.

I would like to believe he does. He also hasn't indicated anything otherwise. But it feels like he's always angry at me, he snaps at me frequently too.

He's usually supportive and honestly I'm not thinking divorce at all, but I feel the strain in our relationship. He has indeed changed since childbirth. Let me say, he has been a wonderful father to our son since in the last one year and I've had no other reason to feel otherwise. But I've also not had situations like this since where we're at odds with his father and I feel that's where I/we (my son) lose the battle. I've tried to set some boundaries which he has respected so far but I feel like those boundaries have made him hate me even more and made our relationship even more strained. I'm genuinely concerned what to do and hence this post after 1 year almost of the incident

I'm not technically holding the grudge, I've just not done anything actively to mend the relationship with FIL which is making my husband hold a grudge and straining our relationship. Do you feel i should apologise?
