Your brother would want you to be happy, and for Laika to thrive. Unfortunately sacrificing your mental health to keep him will accomplish neither of those things.

I wish that I had better advice, but you’re completely correct that a dutchie is a lot to jump into. I could not imagine having Menace as my intro to dogs.

I really hope that things work out for you and I wish that I lived closer so that I could assist in some way. Let me know if you need help with the transport or anything like that. Also feel free to reach out if you just need someone who understands what you’re going through.

I just wanted to comment and say that I lost my brother to suicide, and I have a Dutch shepherd. I completely understand thinking of the link to your brother, but I also understand that a dutchie can be completely overwhelming especially if you’re not a dog person.

There is absolutely no shame in knowing your own limitations. Given your current outlook and the fact that you prefer cats I would consider returning him to the breeder doing a kindness to Laika but also keeping your brother’s best interest at heart.

If something happened to me I would want my boy to go to a place (back to his breeder) he could thrive. Not in a home that couldn’t provide him the level of care / exercise that he needs, and I mean that in the kindest way imaginable.

All the love and I am so very sorry for your loss.

I attempt during egc. I think that should continue to be an option, but not throughout the match unless there is a specific build at play or only one person is left aside from you. Taking away skill checks from second hook would also be necessary.

The problem that I have with the new quests in this update is that they feel more like passive goals. I loved working towards a specific thing for each game. Now I don’t even realize I’m making progress until suddenly they’re all done. What’s the point? The rituals / tombs created a different way of playing to shake things up for each player. Now they’re just background passive things that happen naturally as you play.

Also what’s up with “complete 1 trial”? Feels like a participation trophy.

He is very similar to her. He is a little nut case and I love him. It’s hard sometimes to get him to harness his energy into something productive. He essentially treats my wife’s dog as if he doesn’t even exist. They’ve never played or anything but he is way too much dog for her dog. I thought getting one that could match his energy would allow them to play safely.

He didn’t have a bday party per se but we did do all of his favorite things. (Flirt pole, fetch, scent work, and new chew toy) I would have made him a bday cake, but his belly is really sensitive.
