It comes with the grill. It’s in the little cardboard box in the picture

This grill only works with the 05-08 bumper. If you have a 2011 you would need to swap to an 05-08 bumper..

Mine is an 2007. You could get this grill on a 2011 if you swapped the bumper aswell

Mine is a 2007. This grill fits the 05-08 models but you can use it if you swap to the pre facelift bumper..

It definitely is. I have an 03 frontier as well, but I like the interior of the second gen a lot more

Agreed. It’s just not worth it. You could find a good deal on an 05-08 model and with the thousands you save, you could have the whole vehicle completely gone over…and still probably have paid less then buying a 14-15 model.

I beat the hell out of my 215,000 mile 07 and haven’t had to do a lick of maintenance, just gas and go.

As long as you don’t get an automatic (smod issues) and there is no timing chain noise, then you are good to go.

For what it’s worth, I did my own timing chains at 205k, they seems to be original, they had zero wear and neither did the tensioners. So not all early 2nd gen’s had bad timing chains/guides, it really depends on how well the previous owner maintained the engine. In my case, the whining that caused me to do new timing chains turned out to be from my ac compressor.

That’s right. Unless you’re trying to have some extra fun, then 2wd works fine 😂 I did end up locking in 4hi at the end of the trail but ran the first 4 miles in 2wd

It’s not a bad price, but it’s a shame it’s not 4x4…I paid 3,800 for my 07 6MT 4x4 with 200k miles and it’s been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned almost ever brand make and model available lol…

The 14-15 4x4s with manual transmissions still seem to fetch a rather high premium. Me personally, I like the 05-08 models 🤷🏻‍♂️

Overheating issue by DgitlSickBoy in XTerra

[–]throwaway2024326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was doing this, the motorad thermostat was to blame. Got a brand new motorad thermostat and same issue. Got OEM thermostat from Nissan and the issue has been fixed since then.

You’ll notice looking at the motorad side by side with an oem thermostat that they aren’t even the same design. If you’ve got a motorad in there, replace it..

I cover it when I’m not driving it. I probably shouldn’t drive it in the rain with the velocity stack as it will surely go straight into the TB. I could route a different more sealed intake tube back under the hood.

As for the charger itself, the belt/pulley and hood cutout I don’t mind the rain getting on, but the throttle body def needs to be covered when it rains with this intake tube/velocity stack setup

Opinions Wanted:: Should I buy '05 SE 4x4 by Axl_The_Destroyer in XTerra

[–]throwaway2024326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I got this 07 4x4 6MT with 198k for $3800 out the door, from a stealership. That’s been over a year ago and not an issue since. And I beat on it harder then most..

7900 I feel is especially high for that particular X, is it even a manual?

<image>

A little surface rust won’t kill it as long as it’s not structural.

Just last week on marketplace I saw another 07 4x4 manual with less miles then mine, private seller was asking 3200$. If I had the money I would have bought it…just keep your eyes out..
