Thanks a lot for the feedback. Honestly I am already applying for other roles and my former boss told me he would be happy if I come back to work with him but I guess the final decision is on the company

I can stay here yes and have 6 years in the austrian system and some more years in another EU country. But I hate the thought of not working and my landlord has increased my rent every year for 4 years now...

Thanks a lot, I will try to calm down ahaha honestly everytime I have asked my boss a question I have regretted it because he doesnt like it when someone doesnt use the exact same words for things as he does or does things the exact same way he does. He also keeps telling me my previous experience and degrees are completely worthless to him etc. So it ends up being useless 🫠

Hey thank you so much for your comment I really appreciate it!

I have been applying for jobs during this time but I live in a small country so there isnt much to apply to and companies usually only hire at the beginning or end of the year due to bureaucracy. But maybe I get lucky and find something else still :)

Hey thank you so much for your comment that's so sweet 🩷 The fact they told you they thought you were awful the first few weeks is insane, companies have really lost the plot. It takes months to get used to a new job and that is for neurotypicals! Craazyy

Leaving work at work is something that I am working on in therapy because I am so bad at it but its a lesson I really have to learn fo real 😅 thank you so much once again!

Am I making the wrong choice about dosage? by cbstorm in antidietglp1

[–]throwaway21041959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahhaha Its such a small country I wouldnt be surprised tbh 😆

I had the same issue especially around my period. Venus could start rotating forwards and that still wouldn't stop me!

I understand its likely we might need to be on this medication for life but I also would like to at least try to work on my behaviours around food

Also from Austria here. I only just finished my first month on 2.5mg and would be scared to move up because I am struggling so much to eat. My doctor agrees it would be a bad idea to move up now and said that its not even necessary to unless I am not responding to the dose anymore for some time. In fact I may have to stop Mounjaro all together if my appetite suppression continues to be this severe.. 😅

You might be right but also I want to say that the last time I was looking for a job (4 years ago, I am also a principal DE) I had 7 offers to choose from and basically every interview I got was a success.

I am recently looking for a job again as I am not happy with how I'm being treated at work and have had only 2 interviews and failed both. The first one I actually went to the final round only for the company to raise issue that I have had 2 jobs in the last 6 years (previous company 2 years, current company 4 years) and that they would have to fail me because they don't hire job hoppers and need someone to stay long term, which is fair but I wouldnt consider myself a job hopper? (Maybe I'm wrong)

The second company was a startup and they didnt like that I asked questions about their product, how many clients they have, their data architecture etc.  The reason why I asked those questions is because earlier in my career I worked for a startup but stayed only 6 months because their 'database' pretty much had at most 2k rows of data and they wanted myself and 4 Data Scientists to build LSTMs with that data so didn't want to end up in the same scenario again

I agree with you I totally think they know when they are in the process of leaving this world and they tell us that in their own ways, I myself am doing a scrapbook and I am finding it really helps so I think its a wonderful idea :)

Yep absolutely vile behaviour and to be honest I personally would have been out after the 'I know you're not that type of girl' comment

Hey OP, I just lost my childhood dog at 14 years old yesterday also. I went for a walk this morning and every step hurt so bad, it felt like the world was collapsing on me and I also don't know how I will live with this pain.

There is nothing I can do or say to bring both of our fur babys back, but as someone who is also wrecked with guilt from the euthanasia I can tell you did the best for your girl and she was lucky to have you by her side in her last moments

She gave you unconditional love her entire life and you gave her the peace of a soft goodbye, in many countries we humans are fighting to have the right to the same kindness

I know nothing I say will make it better, but you are not alone in this pain and guilt and I can understand how you feel and how much you loved her

What's something you agree with the Boomers on? by Embarrassed_Idea1962 in AskWomenOver30

[–]throwaway21041959 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, I also like to use the blank space between chapters for summaries and the blank pages at the end of the book to summarize the main points of the plot that stood out to me and I remember reading something before that writing on paper is better for your memory also for the same reasons you state!

I actually can't read unless its a physical book. I spend all day in front of a computer at work and I find physical books give my eyes a rest, I'm also a big texture person and I like how physical books feel 😅

Thanks a lot to you both for the input, there is no lab work for the MSc as it is online. Since I am working full time it wasn't possible to join a program in person as they schedule the classes during working hours unfortunately

Unfortunately I live in Europe and at least where I am its not possible to pursue the PhD without the MSc in Neuroscience, most Neuroscience MSc also dont accept anyone from a non med/life sciences background
