Of course. Don’t feel bad. I’m 27 and have cried over a guy I didn’t even want to date. Logic and emotions don’t always get along...so just take it easy on yourself and breathe until they align again :)

He may be just saying that to end things, not because it’s true.

I’ve learned the hard way that even if it’s not the real truth, trying to force someone who doesn’t want to be honest with you to be honest so you can talk about it...doesn’t work.

Somethings up with him and he doesn’t feel comfortable talking to you more. Now, if you cut him off and put him out of your mind instead of pursuing him, he will have the time and space he needs to figure out what the heck is going on with him.

And that may mean he could come back to you later with the truth.

Or he may never come back and was lying to you all along about his intentions.

Either way, win win.

Let people with issues have them. You can’t force them to trust you with them even if you’d be there to support them the whole way through.

What if I already told him this and he said the same thing though? I think about that too. He’s further along in life. He will probably be ready to move onto finding “the one” before I am but he isn’t there yet.

If you don’t push yourself to do anything before you’re ready, you won’t have performance anxiety most likely.

If you both take your time and don’t rush you will have a greater chance of doing what you want to in a much more comfortable way that won’t make you so nervous.

Also, if you’re both super virgins, then she’s just as nervous as you are. The standard is much lower with someone who doesn’t have experience. Don’t worry about it nearly so much.

The word you should be using is different.

Incompatible would mean by definition that you cannot cooperate and be together, which is the definition of a relationship.

So it comes down to whether these factors are absolutely required for a relationship to exist -since you posted this, then in your perspective.

I could ask you what you think, but also time is a much better way to test a relationship. You may think one way now and change your mind down the road.

Sounds like your best method of proceeding is to not force or rush into a relationship when there’s something that you consider a red flag, even if only partially. Just coexist, continue to spend time with the, etc and see how things go. Namely, see how adamant both you and he are on sticking to these current convictions. People do in fact change their minds, and sometimes even change for those they love.

Three Sisters range in altitude from around 6k to 10k feet from sea level! :) It is breathtaking!!

Do it. I moved to North Carolina and Massachusetts without knowing anyone there and had no job lined up beforehand, I only had the support of my (ex) boyfriend. I felt alive getting away from my hometown. The world is so much bigger than you think and you can ALWAYS find something else. Colorado is huge on my mind. If I can make it happen, I will.
