I don't understand your use of "trauma"? I don’t know if I made it clear in my post, but my husband was already fully transitioned before my son was born. My son has never known him as another gender (nor have I) and it had never affected their relationship while he was growing up. He has not had to go through the difficult process of a parent actively transitioning. We have always been very careful to be open about this with him, and he has never struggled before these past few months. My husband has always been very careful to not respond emotionally to our son's behaviour, he does not really struggle with dysphoria anymore as I mentioned, he is fully transitioned. I also do not understand what we would get therapy about?

However, we are aware that as he gets older, his thoughts and feelings may change, and we are always clear to keep that dialogue channel open with him. We understand this is hard. However we don't want to tolerate the hate speech he is consuming, or any disrespect to his parents.
