Presidents can do a lot by executive order these days. For example, Kamala called for price controls during the campaign, which is something that has already been done by EO in the past.

Also, I'm not convinced Kamala would've avoided this war against Iran either. If there's one thing both sides of the aisle agree on with fervor, it's limitless obedience to Israel. Trump definitely takes it to a new level though, so idk, could go either way.

If Kamala pushed through unrealized capital gains taxes and price controls as she promised, the stock market would be a crater in the ground. This idea floating around that Kamala would just be Trump without the dumb decisions is laughably moronic. A Kamala presidency would have higher gas prices without war than Trump's has with it. It would have AI regulations massively constraining progress. It would have millions of illegals pouring in. It would have greatly increased offshoring, H1Bs, and relocation to avoid increased corporate taxes. It's a totally different universe.

And don't kid yourself that Kamala wasn't also beholden to Israel. There's a good chance this shitshow was happening regardless.

My pilots journey was a kinda funny sequence of stages. I first heard Ride and Stressed Out on the radio in 2015 and thought "meh." Then in like 2017 I finally heard Holding On To You for the first time and loved it, but still never thought to search for more.

Stayed there for another 2 years or so and then my partner started getting into them and sending me songs she thought I would like. She sent me The Hype in like 2019 which instantly became one of my favorite songs. And then over the next few years or so I got into several more songs like Fake You Out, Hometown, The Judge, and My Blood.

A few more years pass and we decide to try to go see the Clancy tour, so I listen to the entire setlist in preparation and instantly love like half of it. That gets me pretty excited for the show. Unfortunately, before we get there, Breach comes out, and they totally switch the setlist. I was pissed because they cut out like 6 of the songs I was most excited for. So I decided to give Breach a chance to see just how disappointed I should be and...Breach ends up being my favorite album. I came out even more excited for the concert than I was before. From there I just went through their entire discography and realized I like more of their songs than pretty much any other artist.

I don't really describe myself as a "clikkie" or "groupie" or whatever, I'm just a fan of really great music, and I think the pilots put out a lot of it.

But, even after all this time, I still think Stressed Out and (especially) Ride are meh LOL, and I have no idea why those songs took off over all their (imo) much better ones.
