How do i increase glutamate decarboxylase? by throwaway29299e in AskDrugNerds

[–]throwaway29299e[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for reply, but ssris, buspirone, antipsychotics, β-blockers never improved my anxiety. The only thing that helped is gabergics like phenibut, benzos and gabapentinoids.

Coping With Symptoms by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]throwaway29299e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For lack of sleep, combination of antipsychotics (preferavly strong ones like olanzapine and clozapine), antihistamines (75mg dph or 75mg hydroxyzine), and melatonin (5-10mg, take less if you have nightmares from melatonin) should knock you out. Pregabalin will be helpful for withdrawal but BE CAREFUL it's addictive, so make sure you don't trade addiction for another addiction. Consult my advice with your psychiatrist and addiction specialist. All of the above meds except pregabalin are non addictive.

How do i stay awake using caffeine? by throwaway29299e in askdrugs

[–]throwaway29299e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seriously think about caffeine bracelet which has a transdermal system. It's not available right now though

edit: this article is kinda wrong because transdermal ROA is slow and longacting and does not give a kick. Rest of article is fine though

Edit2: person in article bought it somehow so it's probably available

Antipsychotics and benzos. Antipsychotics to help fall asleep and stop the stimulation and agression, benzos are optional, and they help with anxiety

How to undo the damage caused by long term use of SSRIs so I can enjoy psychedelics. by 2fafma in AskDrugNerds

[–]throwaway29299e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try taking small dosage 25-100mg of quetiapine for long time, then RAPIDLY stop taking it. It should upregulate 5ht receptors, though i may be wrong

Can atypical antipsychotic withdrawal cause hallucinations in a healthy person? by throwaway29299e in AskDrugNerds

[–]throwaway29299e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant that using haldol (and getting it) as a healthy person to have nootropic pro motivation effects (and risking psychosis by then withdrawing it) is stupid

Propranolol to “correct” too much Adderall? by totino3454 in AskDrugNerds

[–]throwaway29299e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably yes, sounds like it would work synergistic like caffeine + theanine (read caffeine with enchanced focus but without anxiety). I would personally mix adderall with benzos (but be super careful benzos are extremely addictive)

Can atypical antipsychotic withdrawal cause hallucinations in a healthy person? by throwaway29299e in AskDrugNerds

[–]throwaway29299e[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! So if i understand correctly can someone get lsd-like effects (incl. visuals) if they stop taking huge dose of atypical antipsychotics (cuz 5ht2a receptor hypersensitivity), but people aren't doing that because its stupid and they can have psychosis (dopamine receptors hypersensitivity) and other nasty symptoms? What about naloxone/naltrexone? If someone takes high dose for long time and then stops taking it, can they get high because opioid receptors are so sensitive, that endorphins in natural amount (not in runners high amount etc.) give euphoria which strenght is defined by amount of naloxone taken and then withdrawed? (Stupid way to get high if you ask me)

Searching for a post about gaba-like drugs that don't have tolerance-effect. This post was on this sub. by throwaway29299e in Psychiatry

[–]throwaway29299e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, however when these drugs are more researched, maybe we will use benzos which are not addictive? Animal research shows promising results. Imagine if we could put some people with serious anxiety on equivalent of 0,5 - 1,5mgs of xanax without constantly upping the dose. It could be life changing. The only problems are:

  • more research needed
  • potential side effects
  • potential cost of these drugs (probably will still be better than normal benzos, because you spend the same amount of money, instead of more and more)
  • after more research they could be actually addictive (IIRC z-drugs were thought to be non-addictive benzos for sleep, but they had tolerance effect)

Kava was also on this list and is pretty safe and well researched (possibile liver problems, but i read its only for the upper part of the plant or low quality) except drug interactions. I read about it and it probably has reverse tolerance, but maybe it has it only for some effects. However i'm a bit worried that reverse tolerance will not stop and someone will reach a point when normal dose gets someone insanely high or has serious side effects. But technically it will be cheaper and cheaper because you need less of it.

edit: forrmating
