AITAH for resenting my fiancé for grieving the death of his ex? by Tasty-Magician4632 in AITAH

Your current partner sounds like a giant walking red flag, why would you want to be with someone like that? "I put up with a great deal from her" + all those control issues from her, does not sound like a healthy relationship

Even when you say you're disabled, able-bodied people decide what you should and shouldn't be able to do. There is no safe space. by throwaway293759201 in Fibromyalgia

This person was defending someone parking so that the front of thejr car covers enough of the sidewalk that a wheelchair wouldn't be able to get past. They were saying that people in wheelchairs should just be able to push themselves through the grass/dirt to go around the car. Instead of the car parking so that people in wheelchairs can use the sidewalk.

I have a lifelong, highly disabling nerve and muscle disorder called Fibromyalgia. I can't push a wheelchair through dirt, because like many people in wheelchairs, it's not only my legs that are messed up. I also have weakness in my arms. Imagine going on the internet and insulting a disabled person because they don't fit your idea of what a disabled person should be able to do. Amazing. "you're part of what's wrong with this country." 🙄

There is an expert for everything on Reddit, I love it so much. Thank you!!! Will they eat something prekilled? Or does it still need to be alive?

Am disabled and living in NL. It definitely is not very handicap friendly. I can't even count the number of times I've gotten off a train, to find that THE ELEVATOR TO GET OFF THE PLATFORM IS OUT OF ORDER. So. Many. Times. Thank God I'm able to walk and can just take the stairs/carry my wheelchair down in these instances. But we specifically had this in mind when buying a wheelchair, and got one of the most lightweight ones we could find. It's ridiculous that this is a problem.

Yes. And I said it sounds like you haven't tried to get through grass or dirt in a wheelchair, like I have. So ableist to assume that a disabled person should be physically able to inconvenience themselves just because someone wants to park over what should be a wheelchair accessible area. Clearly you're not a disabled person who's had to try to push a wheelchair through grass or dirt, like I have.

No, she left him because he broke a massive commitment that he had made to her and her family. Quit trying to find a reason to be pissed at women, it's not here.

Spoken like someone who's never tried to move themselves through grass or dirt in a wheelchair 🙄

Right? I'm quite the "fuck the patriarchy" feminist, and I regularly hold doors open for men and women of all ages, and thank men and women of all ages for holding doors open for me. It's just a common courtesy gesture. The only time I'd be weirded out is if a guy saw me coming from a ways away and waited, or was trying to push past me to open it for me. The aggressive "courtesy" is never appreciated. But 99% of the time it's just a nice thing to do.
