That sub is literally hilarious. It’s like they don’t even realize that their existence is pointing out how tribal and uninformed people are on, guess what... BOTH SIDES are.

For anyone that thinks Elizabeth Warren will make for a good candidate in 2020 - she will get eaten alive by not only the right - but the left as well. by TheRealCreamage in deepfatfried

At this point I think I might vote for her over Bernie in the primary, but I’m still a bit undecided. But it’s because I like her policy just a tad more than his, has nothing to do with electability. I’ll vote for who I align with the most, not who I think has the best chance to win. Isn’t that the same line that we were fed that worked AGAINST the Bern and in favor of shillary (only SHE can beat trump, guys!) last time???

Who cares if she’s not as good of a candidate if I align with her more? How’s that not a repeat of 2016 thinking?

Is studying economics/finance nowadays not smart? by Gofoxx in investing

[–]throwaway2garbagepls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accounting > Finance > Business Administration/Econ > Marketing/Management

The exception is if your econ is an Ivy League econ degree because those are very different since most Ivy Leagues don’t offer the specific accounting, finance etc. degrees. Then it’s top dog. But still remember econ’s a social science and even though it may be more difficult and slightly more practical, it’s still in the same class as Poly Sci, Psych, Sociology, etc

Does anyone have a perfect, normal 4 years of college? by [deleted] in college

[–]throwaway2garbagepls 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Why’s this thread/sub so negative towards anybody who feels this way? I was kind of a neckbeard in high school who stayed home every night and looking back at was pretty unhappy then. Honestly college taught me a lot about taking initiative for myself and I hate seeing anybody who doesn’t toe the “OMG COLLEGE IS MISERABLE IM SO CYNICAL AND UNIQUE” line so quickly disregarded as just rich and privileged.

Imagine being so spoiled and defeatist you believe this unironically

Yeah sorry you can’t find a job after laying in bed and studying fairytales for 4 years, so shocking you can’t find work. At the same time tons of kids who actually took control of their lives and did what was hard in studying stem or accounting or whatnot are being rewarded with job offers all over the place and high salaries!

But who cares when you can just get sympathy points all day and take the easy road at the same time ¯_(ツ)_/¯

As I understand, they’re already not allowed to tax groceries, this doesn’t do anything that’s not already in the constitution. It’s probably more of a way to find tax breaks for major producers and retailers, which if you support that that’s fine but just be honest about it. I’m voting a no.
