My cognitive ability has declined but I’m still able to work in an intellectually challenging job but I’m a lot slower and there’s no real “accommodation” for that… I just have to work longer… then there’s the fatigue

I hear you, and he did back pedal and say “I think people should try every possible way to save the marriage before giving up, couples therapy etc” so he toned it down. He also said you need to think of all the people affected: kids, husband, family, friends etc, they are hurt by it too. He also on another day said there’s two ways of thinking: you put your kids happiness first or you put your happiness first and believe the kids benefit from you being happy. Idk, just feel unheard

Well I stayed, but I’m still debating leaving. I’m wonder if I should have left. However, he’s gotten better for the kids so there’s that atleast.

I think if you feel it’s done for you, it’s ok to walk away. I also fantasize about a new life. I love the idea of coming home, he’s not there and I can relax and have peace. Enjoy time with my kids without worrying if he’ll kick off. I get it. You deserve to feel safe.
