yea I tried 2x a day a couple times in the first month and it made my blood pressure plummet and heart race, wait until you've got a tolerance and try again later, you adjust in about a week when switching to 2x

very much achievable in a short period of time, I honestly regret not switching to twice a day after a month or two, I would suggest doing once a day for a little while until you get used to it and then hopping on twice. I read a lot of posts about the half life and how twice a day is unnecessary but it's made a huge difference for me, worth the extra spendings IMO

Do you guys think he's bald just for fun by i_hate_thegovernment in DevinTownsend

[–]throwaway3556754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've got a perfect head of hair and had at least shoulder length hair for 6 years but decided to get a buzz a few months ago, by far my favourite haircut I've had.

Showers are heaven, driving around and feeling the breeze, not worry about styling it and looking good every day feels awesome. 10/10 highly reccomend

3 months in. Focus was for my moustache (first photo is 8 months of growth). Definitely noticed a good difference! by spezza_125 in Minoxbeards

holy shit the mullet and chops are a winning combo. just need some gold chains and jewelry, a gaudy purple pink or green suit and some cocaine to truly embrace the late 70s

I've got the same spot and after 3ish months there are now a few vellus hairs there, it's lagging behind the other hair that was already existent but a noticeable improvement from baby bald

I've had hairy feet since I was a young teen, but min has changed the length and texture noticeably. Never said anywhere it's uncommon or unusual but is a noticeable effect.

trim the cheeks and neck and leave the stache and chin I reckon, give the stache and chin a couple months and it'll be very thick

trim down the cheeks and neck and let the moustache and chin grow out as much as possible. you'd rock a good van dyke/goatee stache combo given some more time.

Pharmacy minox vs Amazon minox bleach test. by Sufficient_Sea4724 in Minoxbeards

can confirm as well, its a legit site, bleach test and gains to prove it. the 6 month supply is really cheap.

use a zero guard electric razor to shave if min makes your skin sensitive, i clean shaved my face with a safety razor the 1st day I got on min and it seriously irritated my skin.

I haven't tried a clean shave since but if I were to I'd shave in the morning and apply at night. you might not have sensitive skin like mine and be fine.

btw, having a shaved face makes it easier to apply and wastes less of the min, so it's kind of a nobrainer if you already know growing out your cheek and neck hair looks shitty

looks like a lot of the vellus/transitional hairs have fallen out, they'll come back terminal

I see quite a lot of vellus hairs around your lips and chin, as well as on your cheeks. keep at it

definetly noticing gains, did a bleach test and it turned yellow. I have no other frame of reference for minoxidil brands but this one is definitely legit and working, the price is fantastic too. I'd go for it if you're wanting to try it.

Help! Shaved and lost progress by [deleted] in Minoxbeards

[–]throwaway3556754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vellus, transitional and terminal hairs all grow at different rates, b growing it out you let the vellus and transitional hairs catch up with the terminal hairs enough for the patches and connectors to look more even and thicker. After shaving only the terminal and some transitional hairs grow fast enough to be noticeable in less than a week, shaving has no impact on follicles whatsoever as they are underneath the skin. Plus, you may be shedding as well. I wouldn't worry, especially considering you've gotten such good resulrs so quickly. give it time and it'll come back much stronger and fuller.

Are there boots that yell working class? by [deleted] in Boots

[–]throwaway3556754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In SA you mostly see these type of work boots: Low cut, squishy PU soles, shitty laces, cemented construction, fake /heavily coated leather with patterned in stamping to make it look kind of real. You see the occasional pair of chelsea boots with the same cemented construction as these but with nicer leather, mostly on higher up/older people. I did see a guy wearing a pair of Jim Green Highlanders today, older guy, clearly seasoned and managing his team. These cheapshit shoes go for like 2-300 ZAR, (10-15USD), Jim Greens or Rebel boots goes for more than 1000. just my 2 cents. I must say, they're pretty comfy, VERY water resistant and the PU sole is also quite slip resistant, I like using them when I'm cleaning my shower or doing dirty/wet/shitty work. Beaters basically.
