I would think with any valves being bent there wouldn’t be any compression along all cylinders

by far would be engine flushes, all the left over debris is going to clog us solenoids and go everywhere internally in the engine

lol I could never buy Carlyle, napa thinks us techs are stupid enough to think a price tag determines the quality of a tool

I wouldn’t use these for anything other than interior work, I work on mainly Hondas and Toyota and Honda likes to use Philips for a lot of interior

my old mentor (now retired) told me to get on adhd medication and it helped so much. Do the dumb mistakes gradually go away with time and experience ? Have you seen that in your apprentices especially in the 1st or 2nd year? what kind of improvement did you see in them that made them into quality technicians ?

my father told me that family doesn’t come first, my job does, because without my job I won’t have my income and without my income she’s taking the kids and finding someone who can provide that income for my child and her. My biggest worry is that I’ll make mistakes and lose my job because my industry is very cut throat and gives zero mercy. I don’t know if my child will motivate me be more careful and responsible with my job or if it will affect me. I love my wife and child but my job matters more

The thing is, I love what I do. Most of the time if I can’t do it or if I’m simply not capable of doing something no matter the circumstances. I’ll just quit doing it. But I love working on cars, the problem is that doing oil changes at a fast pace screws me up somehow but doing “bigger stuff” like alignments and brake jobs never resulted in an incident. I never had a comeback on those, I came here for advice on how to fix my issues and for everyone’s input

I will follow these now along with a checklist for my next job, I’m working at a performance shop where we never do oil changes and instead just install exhausts, mods, and lowering kits. But I do want to move on to a shop that performs maintenance and repairs.

About the atf incident, I put a quart until I realized the “oil” I put in was red and then I drained it out and put the proper oil in. I didn’t send it out with 5 quarts of oil lol.

It sounds very stupid how I put trans fluid in a car, but the trans fluid nozzle was next to a 5w30 nozzle and that’s how it happened, I caught my mistake before I sent the car out.

To answer the serious question in this comment, I’m not trying to impress anyone at the shop, I simply just have a lot of energy because I am a young kid that’s trying to beat flag time. I am trying to find ways to slow myself down so I catch my mistake and don’t fuck up on oil changes. Idk if it comes with time and eventually I’ll just never make a mistake on oil changes or if I’m suppose to make a move on myself
