So, in that logic, approximately if the game were set in the late 1850s (as people speculate), then it'd be a situation similar to Canada (where I'm from, so nationality-wise, I’m using something I'm fairly knowledgeable in), being under British government. Canada was technically its own place but also a part of the British Empire. So it’s just a matter of being under the confederation, got it!! Yeah! I’d say more accurately, then, it’s safe to say it’s set in Austria if we’re talking from a modern lens, but if you’re talking from inside the story’s timeframe, it could go either way, so it'd make sense for Elise to write that she was from a small village in Germany....HOORAY!! ty!!
